The Action has also been active in organising International Workshops in order to facilitate the interaction between the different WGs and between the members of COST 237 and the International Scientific Community. The first COST237 International Workshop on "Multimedia Transport and Teleservices" was organised, in Vienna, hosted by Alcatel Austria in November 1994. 46 papers from 14 countries were submitted for review, 18 of them have been accepted for presentation and included in the proceedings of the event which were published by Springer Verlag, in Lecture Notes in Computer Science Series, Vol. 882 (ISBN 3-540-58759-4). Over 110 people attended the workshop including speakers from US and Japan, and the keynote address was delivered by Prof. Dr Augusto de Albuquerque. The second COST 237 International Workshop on "Teleservice and Multimedia Communication", was organised in Copenhagen in November 1995 and hosted by the Technical University of Denmark. The proceedings of this event were also published by Springer Verlag, in Lecture Notes in Computer Science Series, Vol. 1052 (ISBN 3-540-61028-6). The table of contents of this workshop is available. The third COST 237 International Workshop on "Multimedia Telecommunication and Applications", was organised in Barcelona in November 1996 and hosted by UPC (Universidad Politecnica di Cataluna). The proceedings of this event were also published by Springer Verlag, in Lecture Notes in Computer Science Series, Vol. 1185 (ISBN 3-540-62096-6). The fourth COST 237 International Workshop on "From Multimedia services to Network services" will held in Lisboa, Portugal from December 16th to 19th, 1997.
