Broadband Communication and Multimedia Services for Mobile Users

Project summary

The development of broadband communication networks and multimedia services for mobile users is one of the key technological challenges to advance our knowledge-based society. The main objective of this WOG (Wetenschappelijk Onderzoeks Gemeenschap - Scientific Research Community) is to improve the quality of the Flemish research related to mobile multimedia networks (from the physical layer up to the application layer) through intra- inter- and multidisciplinary collaborations between Flemish partners, partners from the French Community and partners outside Belgium.

Action points:

Dissemination of information (scientific reports, publications, announcements, ...) via website and email
Organization of scientific meetings/events for discussing current research results and to define new research topics. Experts will be invited to these meetings.
Set-up of new intra, inter and multi disciplinary collaborations in view of joint research results and joint publications
Exchange of researchers in order to exchange knowledge and expertise between WOG-partners
